Introduction to the Singapore Traditional Chinese Medicine Magazine


Since March 2010, the SIngapore Societies Registration Board had approved the Singapore Chinese Physicians' Association's newly revised Constitution. According to the new constitution, the previous publishing group and internet networking group that were solely responsible two SCPA publications were transferred to the newly added SCPA publicity and publishing division. The SCPA's publicity and publishing division's Head and Vice-Head would be responsible for all publicity and publishing related issues of the SCPA, and regularly publish the "Singapore Traditional Chinese Medicine Magazine" and "Singapore Chinese Physicians' Association Newsletter".

Following the establishment of the "Singapore Traditional Chinese Medicine Magazine" Editorial Board, the Singapore Chinese Physicians' Association's Chaiman Dr Wong Chin Nai PBM and Secretary-General Dr Coral Teng served as editorial advisors, the publicity and publishing division's Head Dr Lin Chiu Xia served as Editor-in-Chief, Deputy Head Dr Wu Zai Chi served as Deputy Editor and other board members included Physicians: Chen Bei Qi, Wang Ping, Wang Mu Rui, Lin Ying and Lee Jun Yu. 

It is common knowledge that the "Singapore Traditional Chinese Medicine Magazine" is organised by the Singapore Chinese Physicians' Association, and is a local professional  academic biannual magazine. The new editorial new group has designed the magazine to grow with changing times and reflect the new era and development trends of TCM, including reporting on the latest scientific research and advanced technology in order to explore the dynamic and ever-changing clinical experience of TCM. Some topics include the latest treatments in TCM, TCM theory, orthopaedic massotherapy, clinical trials and applications and non-drug rehabilitation therapy experience. The aim of the "Singapore Chinese Physicians' Magazine" is to promote TCM and to raise readers' awareness  of the changing  TCM world, and thereby enhancing humankind's health.

In order to let  "Singapore Traditional Chinese Medicine Magazine" shine out more in Singapore's multi-cultural society, and show its uniqueness, the cover page of the  "Singapore Traditional Chinese Medicine Magazine" highlights the latest discoveries and news, and has varied content focusing on clear, well-argued, well-structured arguments and discussions, bringing forth science, creativity, practicality and readability, all rolled into one uniquely Singaporean magazine.

Since 2010, the Editorial Board published the 28th issue (September 2010), 29th issue (December 2010), 30th issue (June 2011) and 31st issue (December 2011).
